Fiber Disc

While metal grinding can be done with flap disc or sanding belts, the fastest way to grind is fiber disc. These coated abrasive discs deliver a significantly higher stock removal rate, allowing you to grind with less pressure than other angle grinders. While the product life is shorter than a flap disc or grinding wheel, fiber discs wear more metal faster, saving time.

 It is produced as aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, zirconium and ceramic grain coated.

Aluminum oxide discs are used for metal and wood surfaces, ceramic and zirconium for stainless and alloy steel work, and silicon carbide fiber discs for marble and granite products.
